Writing the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform book was a labor of love. But as any engineer knows, putting architectural patterns on paper is one thing; making them run reliably in an enterprise production environment is entirely different.
That is where real work happens. And it is why I am so proud to share that Tredence has officially achieved Databricks Gold Partner status.
In this ecosystem, the Gold tier is not awarded to a company for simply racking up technical certifications. It is earned by organizations that can deploy complex data and AI systems in the real world. This is reflected in the core values that form our BEACON at Tredence:
B – We lead with Fire in the Belly, bringing energy and a relentless drive to win as we hustle with purpose to solve hard problems - whether that's optimizing massive Spark pipelines or building real-time AI agents on the new Databricks Lakebase. We don't settle for the easy excuse of "it's not my job".
E – At my core, I am a teacher. I believe a Data Intelligence Platform is only successful if the client's team can eventually run it without us. We focus heavily on building Exceptional Talent, distributing knowledge about the latest Lakebase and Lakehouse architecture, so we don't over-rely on a small set of "heroes" for every deployment.
A – Our teams Act with Ownership, staying deeply hands-on with the technology, setting bold goals, and leading with accountability when a Lakebase instance needs tuning or a complex migration gets tough.
C – Whether untangling a legacy data swamp or unifying transactional and analytical workloads using Lakebase's serverless Postgres engine, we obsess over Customer Success. We don’t blindly agree to a "lift and shift" client request that we know won't scale on a modern architecture.
O – We navigate these complexities because we collaborate to work as One, consistently listening with intent, being approachable, and asking, "How can I help?" when a teammate is stuck on integrating Lakebase with Unity Catalog and Databricks Apps.
N – And honestly, enterprise data is much easier to tackle when you remember to Be Nice, show up on time, respect everyone in the trenches with you, and have fun at work.
Reaching Gold status is a great chapter for Tredence, bringing us even closer to Databricks' engineering and product teams to reach an even greater impact together!
